One of the UK’s most sought after bluegrass and old time musicians, Charlotte Carrivick is an experienced and award winning musician and teacher.
As a multi instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and composer she performs internationally with Island Records signed, IBMA award nominated bluegrass band Midnight Skyracer as well as The Carrivick Sisters, Cardboard Fox and in a duo with fiddler Kieran Towers. Charlotte has performed on BBC Radio 4‘s Woman’s Hour, BBC One‘s The One Show playing banjo with Tom Jones.
As well as performing, Charlotte loves teaching at all levels. She is an experienced teacher both privately and as a workshop leader. As well as teaching at home in Bath and overseas via Skype and Facetime, Charlotte has lead workshops at many of the UK’s bluegrass and folk festivals and has taught on several occasions at the internationally renowned Sore Fingers Summer Schools. In 2011 she cofounded Bath Bluegrass School with John Breese and Laura Carrivick.
Charlotte is also available for session work and recording as well as undertaking transcription work.
